Kali: Cutting Away

I just got home from my first sitting for my new tattoo. I haven’t talked about it too openly and I do not have the energy do go in depth here and now, but let me just say that this peace is perhaps the most personal and most empowering piece I’ve ever received.

This is a back piece and that is significant in and of itself. I am getting Kali tattooed on my back. Jesse is so incredibly talented and the actual sitting was very significant to me as I stayed very mindful of all that this work symbolizes for me (past and present).

I am planning to photo document this work, so will have photos to share along the way. Ok, I’m seriously emotionally spent and promise to write more once I’ve rejuvenated.
