I sit at the Toyota service customer waiting room as I type up this post. It is amazing to me what has become of customer service. The benefits of the internet can sometimes be misleading. I was thrilled to be able to make an appointment online to get my 45,000 mile service on my car. I even opted for the first one of the morning. A bright and early 7:30am only to be presented with sticker shock as to what they wanted to charge me for said 45,000 mile service (we are talking just short of $200!). I promptly opted for the cheaper every 5,000 mile service which is quite laughable considering I never paid this much at the Toyota Service Center in Portland.
I am the second car in for the morning and am then told that my car will be ready around 10:00 am! Wait, what? It is really going to take you 2 1/2 hours to do this service? Really? Again, I used to go into the Toyota Service Center in Portland and never waited longer than 1 hour. And this was sometimes without an appointment. Granted sometimes I did simply go in for the oil change, but dear jeebuz this is a bit redonkulous!
So yes, I am simply posting to gripe about waiting and money. But damn! I got up at dark o’clock for this. I expected a little better for this. .grumble.grumble.grumble.
