In The Past Decade . . .

celebration- lived (in order) in Pleasant Hill, CA, SE Portland, NE Portland, NW Portland, Twain Harte, CA, NE Portland, SE Portland, Twain Harte, CA, and Berkeley, CA
- dated 18 people including four long-term (more than 1 year) relationships, and a triad (three person) primary relationship
- fostered feral kittens
- come out as gender queer, transgender, FTM, been stealth (closeted about being transgender), and once again gender queer
- experienced 9/11
- felt like a failure because I was 29 and had never successfully completed a college degree
- got laid off four times
- got married, legally . . . in the back yard of my ex’s (from the triad)
- got divorced
- lived in my parents garage, with my primary, twice
- start taking testosterone to medically transition
- earned my bachelors of arts in human resource management
- earned my masters of arts in interdisciplinary studies
- adopt two cats, rosco and emma
- worked from home for the first time
- get a dog, Lady
- am a doctoral student
- held 9 jobs
- paid off debt
- gained more debt
- been vegetarian, pescetarian, vegan, omnivore, and raw food vegan
- created my chosen family
- had my grandmother diagnosed with dementia
- owned two cars
- learned to trust in the looneyverse
- learned to trust another person
- been incredibly blessed with some amazing and genuine friendships
- taken a crazy, spontaneous week long roadtrip to Phoenix, AZ and Northern CA
- became a activist, co-founder of Gender (Free) For All
- discovered that if you ask for help, people will often meet and/or exceed your expectations
- started making my own cologne
- become heavily tattooed
- had a variety of piercings and am know for my stretched ears
- started growing my own sprouts
- worked really hard on my baggage and learned that it is a daily activity
- reunited with a long time friend
- discovered Buddhism
- lived alone
- learned that I don’t say much if I don’t have anything to say, and that is OK
- learned that I’m not a good dog parent
- learned out to respect my boundaries
- learned to listen to my body, it knows what is best for me
- learned that being picky about the people you allow in your life is a healthy thing
- learned that I can read dirty stories in front of large groups of people
- discovered that spirituality is incredibly important to me and that each of us embodied incredible, perfect wisdom
- fallen in love with photography
- learned to trust myself
- learned that authenticity and honesty are two of the most important characteristic I look for in myself and others
